drr is pleased to announce River Road Flash. Over the next months we will be publishing one weekly flash fiction piece from writers around the world. The project aims to explore the shorter form, bring together diverse voices, and see what might be possible from exploring this form.
Each Sunday we will post a prompt that will come  in various forms and media. We are looking for any work that stretches the imagination, something lyrical, magical, inventive. There are no limitations to what you might consider a flash fiction. Writers will have until Friday 2359 hrs (GMT+3 EAT) to submit. The best story will be published on the website the following Sunday, together with the prompt for the next week. Word count is strictly 1000 – 1500 words.
The winner will receive a copy of drr.
Submissions are open to all, but BAME writers are especially encouraged to submit.  Send submissions to submissions@downriverroad.org with Name_RiverRoadFlash as the subject line.
